About

The Micro Writers Blog is written by microbiology students to all microbiology students around the world. Currently, five students in Faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University (FOPCU) are contributing to the blog, but they hope to be joined soon by students from all around the world.

The blog’s name is inspired by the movie Freedom Writers, which is based on a true story. We also believe that writing is one of the best ways of learning.

The blog has been initiated by Dr. Ramy Karam Aziz, Lecturer, Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University.

  1. Nice blog guys, full of helpful and interesting information.
I realy enjoyed the articles and read some of them they are completely scientific, well organized and presented in a good manner. As a matter of fact it’s a proud of students like u guys doing all this effort for nothing but love of knowledge and science especially microbiology (one of my favourite subjects ). Anyway i wanted to just stop by and thank all those who added and supported this blog to grow and to come out to the life.

  2. Hi all,

I was introduced to your blog by Dr. Ramy Karam Aziz and want to congratulate you on its depth and breadth, as well as its beauty and charm. It should stimulate others to read and learn about the mysteries and excitement of the world of microbes. As an old blogger, I know how much effort is involved. I am sure that it’s worthwhile. Good for you!

    Dear Prof. Moselio Schaechter,

We want to thank you so much for viewing and commenting on our humble blog, it was truly a big beautiful surprise for us. Thank you for your encouraging words, really lifted our spirits.

  4. Hey – whats up. Thanks a bunch for the blog. I’ve been digging around for info, but there is so much out there. Google lead me here – good for you i suppose! Keep up the good work. I will be coming back in a few days to see if there is any more info.

  5. Hello there – I wish I had some other way of contacting you but there doesn’t seem to be any email address listed on the blog. Anyway I blog at Student Voices from Nature Education (an initiative of Nature Publishing Group) and I thought that you might like to contribute to our blog. Do check it out here: http://www.nature.com/scitable/blog/student-voices

You can get back to me by email if you’re interested. You’d all be great additions!

  6. Thanks Ainhoa and Khalil for your support. We believe that spam will get the better of us once our email addresses are listed, but hopefully we will find a way to get around that. I read a few of the most recent posts in the blog. It is nice to see the global society all interconnected this way. Great job!
